In pursuance of the instructions issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) regarding constitution of Enabling Units for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and with a view to facilitate appropriate support and reasonable accommodation to students with benchmark disabilities studying at Government Medical College, Jagtial, the following Enabling Unit for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is hereby constituted with immediate effect:

Functions of the Enabling Unit
The Enabling Unit shall function as a dedicated institutional mechanism for students with benchmark disabilities, with the designated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) serving as the primary contact for receiving and coordinating disability- related requests, and shall undertake/facilitate the following activities:
The Enabling Unit shall function under the overall supervision of the Principal, Government Medical College, Jagtial, and shall coordinate with the concerned academic, clinical and administrative departments for providing necessary support to PwBD students.
The details of the Enabling Unit, including the name and contact details of the designated Single Point of Contact, shall be displayed on the institutional notice board and website for information and accessibility to all students.
The Unit shall come into force with immediate effect.
